Must See Web Weekly: One Song, Twenty Six Genres.

Back in 2011, Australian musical comedy group The Axis of Awesome released an official music video to their viral hit “4 Chords“. The song  illustrates the similarity between pop songs by mashing over forty of them up in one piece, using pretty much the same accompaniment all the way through. Another mash-up video has been garnering attention since June this year, but instead musician Andrew Huang uses twenty six musical genres to create an entirely new song. There is also a catch, he uses genres in alphabetical order (yes, there are genres that begin with letters like “x” and “z)”. If you want more check out another favourite of mine, where Huang raps in five different languages, here.
